Our Veteran Inspired History
We are honored to have a US Army Infantry Veteran as a Co-partner. His story provides the meaning of why we do what we do...
While serving within his 4 years of active duty, he was deployed in 2006 to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom where he experienced combat on the front lines. During this deployment, he suffered extensive physical injuries on his lower back, shoulder, and knee. Despite the pain, he chose to brave through and drive forward conducting missions with my comrades until the end of their rotation. This constant pain continued even after his deployment. Seeking pain relief, he committed a year to physical rehabilitation therapy and was provided medications such as Percocet and Morphine.
At the end of his first tour, he decided to separate from the military and was honorably discharged. A few months later, he underwent surgery on his left shoulder and continued to rehabilitate his lower back. Adding to the personal struggles with his ailments, the transition from soldier to civilian wasn’t an easy road. Suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety, depression and anger developed and affected his overall health and most importantly his marriage.
Overwhelmed with this new hand dealt, his life called for finding new solutions for body and mind. He started a new journey of recovery by pursuing his education earning a bachelor’s degree in Physiology, minor in Psychology, from the University of Arizona. A new found passion for understanding body and mind began to grow!
In this personal search for natural remedies, he dedicated countless research hours for different herbs or seeds to help alleviate his inflammation, pain, anxiety and depression. He found CBD/hemp oil (cannabidiol), then started with tinctures resulting in immediate relief. Since the use of CBD, he noticed less pain flare ups and less daily anxiety. These results had multiple benefits across the board, thus a seed was planted (pun intended) for a pursuit of helping others.
However, being health conscious, he strived to find high-quality products as the market offered few sources, so he researched and pursued onward ultimately establishing the right manufacturing company partnership to begin offering world-class products know as a “Tru Nature Hemp Extract.”

Despite the stigma about this magical plant, his hope is we all can appreciate the healing benefits this amazing plant can offer us.
